      On The 5th Russian Congress, Ljana Shoranova will make a report about the fireproof polyolefin-base materials


      One of the priority directions in the development of the polymeric composite materials is a combustibility decrease, low fume emission and toxic gases emission (so called flame retardants). Modern search of the new systems reducing combustibility of plastics, is directed on working out of non-polluting fireproof additives, in this connection, non-halogenous flame- retardants represent a great interest.


      Influence of non-halogenous flame retardants, such as organoclays, metal hydroxides has been investigated with a view to the burning processes of the polyolefin compounds.


      On a basis of con-calorimetric researches and the other methods of investigation, nonflammable and self-extinguishing compounds on the basis of polyolefins with the optimal physico-mechanical properties have been developed. The developed compounds can be applied in cable industry, construction, automotive industry and electronic equipment production.
