PETF-Bashkortostan industrial park to be established on Polyef’s site

The Bashkirian Industry and Innovation Policy Ministry’s working group for the PETF-Bashkortostan Industrial Park project had a meeting on November 30. The group discussed ways to support operations of small and medium-sized businesses in the technology park on the site of OAO Polyef. The PETF-Bashkortostan industrial park will accommodate manufactures of various PET products, including PET films, blister films, PET bottles, preforms, packaging film, etc.). The concept of the industrial park and relevant economics are expected to be developed by the year-end.
OAO Polyef is a Russian PTA and PET manufacturer. It is capable of producing 230,000 tonnes of PTA per year and 120,000 tonnes of PET per year. A half of the output is sold in the domestic market.
